about us

Our Story

Sanxia, meaning The Three Gorges, is a breathtaking region along the Yangtze River – known as one of China’s most iconic landscapes and the cradle of countless flavours and traditions. It’s where Sichuan, Chongqing, and Hubei meet – regions that share the same love for bold, soulful, and comforting food.

Founded in 2009, Sanxia Renjia brings this heritage to London. For more than a decade, we’ve stayed true to our roots in authentic Cantonese and Sichuan cuisine, believing that every dish should carry both flavour and feeling.

Our chefs cook with passion and patience – from the crackle of the wok that captures real wok hei, to the slow crafting of handmade dim sum and rich Sichuan sauces. Each plate is made with care, much like how families back home cook for the ones they love.

Here at Sanxia, food is more than a meal — it’s a bridge between cultures, memories, and people. Whether it’s your first visit or your hundredth, we want you to feel that same warmth: a place that tastes like home.
